With experience as a two-time councillor and international work experience, Haridas is confident in her ability to challenge Vadra. She entered politics unexpectedly due to her family’s RSS connection and has criticized the Congress party for favoring the Gandhi family for seats. Haridas believes that the people of Wayanad want a leader who addresses their issues, rather than seeing the constituency as a mere “second seat” for the Gandhi family.
