We Will Think of Scrapping Reservation when India is a Fair Place: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP, spoke to students at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He emphasized that reservations in India will only be scrapped when the country becomes fair, as marginalized groups are not getting equal opportunities. Gandhi highlighted the lack of representation of tribals, Dalits, and OBCs in top business positions. He also mentioned the need for decentralizing power and opening up more opportunities for all. When asked about the Uniform Civil Code, Gandhi stated that he would comment on it once he sees the BJP’s proposal. He also mentioned that despite differences, members of the INDIA coalition agree on key issues like defending the Constitution and addressing business monopolies.
