Former senior Congress leader Ravi Raja recently joined the BJP and referred to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as the next Chief Minister of the state. Fadnavis responded with a light-hearted comment to ‘censor’ the remark. Raja expressed gratitude to top BJP leaders and mentioned Fadnavis as the future CM during a press conference in Mumbai. He ended his 44-year-long association with Congress, citing lack of respect. Raja was appointed as the BJP Mumbai unit vice president after joining the party. BJP’s Mumbai chief welcomed Raja, stating that his knowledge of Mumbai issues would strengthen the party’s prospects in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly polls.
