Amul has denied supplying ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) for the production of Tirupati laddoos, clarifying that they have never supplied ghee to the temple. The dairy giant emphasized that their ghee is made from high-quality pure milk fat at their ISO certified facilities and undergoes stringent quality checks. The controversy arose when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claimed that animal fat was used in Tirupati laddoos during the previous government’s tenure. The matter has escalated with court petitions and rebuttals from former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. The issue has sparked debates and discussions, with sentiments of devotees at the forefront.
