Actor Vijay, also known as Thalapathy to his fans, is set to launch his political party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), at a mega rally in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram district. The first state conference of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam saw a huge crowd gathering, with around three lakh supporters expected to attend. This move by Vijay is seen as an attempt to fill the political vacuum left by superstar Rajinikanth, who had previously considered entering politics but later withdrew. Vijay’s entry into politics is anticipated to bring a significant change to the political landscape in Tamil Nadu, setting the stage for the upcoming 2026 state elections.
