Poll Pot Goes on Front Burner in Maharashtra, Jharkhand as EC Announces Schedule | All You Need to Know



The Election Commission of India has announced the assembly poll schedule for Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Jharkhand will vote in two rounds on November 13 and November 20, while Maharashtra will have single-phase polling. The counting of votes for both states will take place on November 23. Some Lok Sabha bypoll dates were also announced, including the Wayanad seat vacated by Rahul Gandhi. The model code of conduct is now in place in Maharashtra. Some opposition parties had sought a multi-phase election in Maharashtra, but it will be a single-phase poll. Leaders from various parties have shared their thoughts on the upcoming elections.
