Omar Should Stop Giving Sermons on Article 370; His Party Can Approach Centre for Statehood: Ram Madhav

Ram Madhav, a BJP leader, stated that the National Conference’s poor performance in the Jammu region was a clear rejection of Omar Abdullah’s stance on Article 370. He mentioned that while the BJP did not win any seats in the valley, they will work towards gaining the trust of the people in that region. The NC-Congress alliance won the Jammu and Kashmir elections with 48 seats, while the BJP had its best performance in the state with 29 seats. Madhav also commented on Omar Abdullah’s priorities for statehood and his relationship with the central government. He expressed the BJP’s desire to expand their presence in the valley and win over the people there.
