No Party Post to Accused in Gauri Lankesh Murder Case: Shinde-Led Sena



Journalist Gauri Lankesh was tragically shot dead outside her home in Bengaluru in 2017. A probe by Karnataka police and agencies in Maharashtra led to the arrest of several individuals, including Shrikant Pangarkar. The Maharashtra Shiv Sena, led by Eknath Shinde, has put a hold on Pangarkar’s appointment to any party post in Jalna district. Pangarkar, a former Shiv Sainik, recently joined the party ahead of the Maharashtra assembly polls. Despite being granted bail, his involvement in Lankesh’s murder remains a point of contention. The Maharashtra polls are set for November 20, with results announced on November 23.
