The Ministry of Home Affairs will hold peace talks with the Kuki and Meitei communities in Delhi on Tuesday, with Naga leaders also invited to participate. This will be the first meeting between the warring communities since May 3, 2023, to find a solution to the ethnic clashes. The meeting will involve discussions with no fixed agenda, and key leaders from all communities have been invited to participate. Previous peace initiatives were rejected by the Kukis, but there is hope for a positive outcome this time. The aim is to initiate positive steps towards peace and reconciliation among the communities.
