The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, are working together to retain power in the upcoming assembly elections on November 20. The BJP’s first list of candidates will be out soon as they have resolved issues over contentious seats. The allies BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to iron out differences over seat-sharing. More than half of the contentious seats have been cleared, and the rest will be resolved within two days. The Mahayuti partners may choose to declare candidates separately. The ruling coalition is challenged by the Maha Vikas Aghadi of Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress in the upcoming elections.
