Madhya Pradesh Assembly Bypolls: BJP Fields Former MP From Budhni, Ex-Congressman From Vijaypur



The BJP has announced the candidates for the upcoming assembly bypolls in Madhya Pradesh. Ramakant Bhargava will be contesting from the Budhni seat, while Ramniwas Rawat will be contesting from the Vijaypur seat. The bypolls are scheduled to be held on November 13, with votes being counted on November 23. The filing of nominations has already begun, and the model code of conduct is in place. Bhargava is a former MP and is considered close to former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while Rawat is a former Congress leader who joined the BJP. The Congress is yet to announce its candidates. The Vijaypur constituency has 2,54,647 voters, while Budhni has 2,76,397 eligible voters.
