Arvind Kejriwal has written to the Election Commission, alleging that AAP workers are facing harassment and attacks from the BJP and Delhi Police in the lead-up to the Delhi Assembly polls. He demanded the arrest of those involved and requested independent observers in the New Delhi constituency where he is contesting. Kejriwal cited incidents of attacks on AAP workers and claimed that the BJP is resorting to hooliganism in Delhi. AAP MLA Mohinder Goyal was reportedly assaulted during a public meeting. Sanjay Singh also wrote to the ECI, alleging assault on party workers by the BJP. Kejriwal is facing competition from BJP’s Parvesh Verma and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit in the New Delhi constituency.
