Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP chief, responded to the Election Commission’s notice regarding his claim about the Haryana government “mixing poison” in Yamuna. He stated that the raw water received from Haryana was highly contaminated and poisonous, posing a severe health hazard. Kejriwal emphasized that he was only trying to address the urgent public health crisis caused by the poor quality of drinking water in Delhi. He denied violating any laws or Model Code of Conduct and requested the issue to be closed. Kejriwal also alleged that Haryana’s pollution in Yamuna has led to a public health crisis in Delhi and urged the EC to intervene and ensure safe water for the people.
