The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024 have concluded with the third and final phase of voting taking place in 40 assembly constituencies across seven districts. A voter turnout of 57.31% and 61.38% was recorded in the second and first phases respectively. Around 39.18 lakh voters will decide the fate of 415 candidates in this phase. The main political parties contesting the election include Congress, National Conference, BJP, PDP, Apni Party, CPI(M), J&K Peopleās Conference, and the Democratic Progressive Azad Party. Security has been beefed up at all polling stations and arrangements for elders, women, and voters with disabilities have been made. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
