Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray unveiled his party’s manifesto for the Maharashtra assembly polls, promising to scrap the controversial Dharavi redevelopment project, extend free education to male students, and stabilize essential prices. The manifesto also includes plans to build temples dedicated to Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in every district, implement the Old Pension Scheme, and remove the 50% cap on reservations. Thackeray emphasized the importance of these promises and noted that the opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi will release their own manifesto soon. Other promises include free travel for women in public transport, recruitment of 18,000 women in the police force, job creation initiatives, and the establishment of an International Finance Centre in the state.
