The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that some miscreants attempted to attack former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a foot march in West Delhi’s Vikaspuri area. AAP accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of being responsible for the attack and criticized the Delhi Police for not intervening. Senior AAP leaders warned of consequences if anything happens to Kejriwal, stating that the attack was a result of BJP’s inability to defeat AAP in elections. Several leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Durgesh Pathak, condemned the attack and blamed the BJP for orchestrating it. In response, the BJP dismissed the allegations, stating that Kejriwal was only questioned by the public. The incident has raised concerns as the city gears up for the February 2025 polls.
