Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal has returned home in Birbhum district after spending over two years in Tihar Jail in connection with multiple cases. He expressed his unwavering support for Mamata Banerjee, the party supremo and Chief Minister. Mondal was greeted by supporters with traditional conch shells and drums upon his return. He mentioned his health issues and conveyed his Durga Puja greetings to Banerjee. There is a possibility that Banerjee may meet Mondal during her visit to Bolpur. The CBI and ED are investigating cases related to Mondal and his daughter. Mondal was granted bail in July and his daughter was granted bail in September.
