Haryana: Former Minister Captain Ajay Yadav Quits Congress, Alleges Shabby Treatment

Senior Congress leader and former minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav recently quit the party, citing disillusionment with the party high command after Sonia Gandhi stepped down as party president. Yadav, who also resigned as chairman of the AICC’s OBC department, expressed disappointment with how he was treated. He mentioned his family’s long association with the party but felt let down by the leadership. Yadav criticized the party’s handling of infighting and candidate selection in the Haryana assembly elections. The BJP accused the Congress of being anti-OBC and anti-Dalit, highlighting Yadav’s resignation as chairman of the party’s OBC front. The BJP won the recent polls in Haryana for the third consecutive term.
