Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Ranchi along with his supporters. The move came after Soren met with Amit Shah and resigned from the JMM party. He was unhappy with the way he was removed from the Chief Minister’s post to make way for Hemant Soren. Champai, known as “Jharkhand’s Tiger”, has a long history in politics and played a significant role in the fight for the creation of the state. Despite earlier rumors, he refuted reports of joining the BJP before officially making the switch. This move is seen as an effort to remove the corrupt Jharkhand government from power.
