Ex-MP Shahabuddin’s Son Osama, Wife Hema Join RJD In Lalu Yadav’s Presence

Former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin’s wife Hina Shahab and son Osama Shahab recently joined the party in the presence of party leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav. They were welcomed into the party, with Tejashwi Yadav referring to Shahabuddin as a founding member of the RJD. This move is seen as a way to strengthen the party’s fight against communal forces like the BJP and RSS. Shahabuddin, a former gangster-turned-politician, passed away in 2021 while serving a life sentence. Hina Shahab had previously contested elections on an RJD ticket but had soured relations with the party. The RJD’s performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections has led to a rethink and a focus on rebuilding alliances ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly polls.
