The Enforcement Directorate is likely to book Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with alleged irregularities in the allotment of sites by Mysuru Urban Development Authority. The FIR was lodged after accusations of irregularities in the allotment of 14 sites worth ₹56 crore to the chief minister’s wife. The ED is expected to press sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act to book Siddaramaiah in its Enforcement Case Information Report. Despite the allegations, Siddaramaiah has stated that he will not resign and will fight the case legally. The Lokayukta FIR has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
