Sakshee Malikkh criticized the BJP for selecting Karan Singh, the son of former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Shahran Singh, as its candidate for the Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh. Top wrestlers, including Sakshi, Bajrang Punia, and Vinesh Phogat, had accused Brij Bhushan of sexually harassing women wrestlers during his tenure. The decision to field Karan has upset the protesting wrestlers, who had demanded justice for the harassment allegations.
