Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah, along with other BJP leaders, attended a party workers’ meet in Mumbai where the party released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra elections. The list includes 99 candidates with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis contesting from Nagpur (South). The BJP is contesting 151 out of the 288 seats in Maharashtra, with 13 female candidates also being fielded. The list includes new faces and experienced leaders, with tough negotiations ongoing with allies Shiv Sena and NCP. Overall, the BJP is gearing up for a competitive election in Maharashtra.
