Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public meeting in Jammu and Kashmir. Shah called Kharge’s speech “distasteful and disgraceful” and accused him of unnecessarily dragging the PM into his personal health matters. Kharge had mentioned that he would not die until Modi is removed from power, which Shah condemned as a display of hate and fear towards the Prime Minister. Despite this, Shah wished for Kharge’s long and healthy life so he could witness the development of a prosperous India by 2047. Kharge had fallen ill during the rally but continued speaking after a brief pause, reiterating his statement about Modi’s removal from power.
