After Naveen Patnaik’s ‘Work From Home’ For 24 Years, Odisha Govt Looks For New CM Residence

Naveen Patnaik, who served as the Chief Minister of Odisha for 24 years, worked from his personal residence, Naveen Niwas, instead of a government-allocated house. With the recent victory of the BJP in the state, a search is underway for the next Chief Minister and an official CM’s residence. Multiple properties have been identified, including the Grievance Cell of the former CM, for the new Chief Minister. In the meantime, a suite in the state guest house is being prepared as temporary accommodation. The transition will take time as the selected space will need renovations and facilities installed. Last week, the BJP took power in Odisha, ending Naveen Patnaik’s long rule.
