The AAP government, led by Arvind Kejriwal, successfully organized Chhath Puja despite obstacles created by the BJP. The BJP tried to prevent the Purvanchali community from celebrating by stopping the construction of Chhath Ghats and even initiating lathi charges in some areas. Under Kejriwal’s leadership, the AAP government made excellent arrangements for the festival. For the past 10 years, they have been organizing Chhath Puja magnificently, attracting people from neighboring states. Before Kejriwal’s government, there were only 60 Chhath Ghats in Delhi, but now there are 1800, allowing for proper celebrations.
