Binoy Viswam, the Kerala State secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), has accused the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of striking a deal in the upcoming Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll. He alleged that businessman Robert Vadra, the husband of Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, may have been involved in this alleged deal. Viswam questioned Vadra’s role and raised concerns about a company linked to him donating money to the BJP through the electoral bond scheme. He also questioned the BJP’s choice of a relatively weak candidate for the Wayanad election, suggesting possible collusion between the two major parties against the Left. Viswam expressed confidence in the LDF candidate and hinted at unseen political undercurrents in favor of the Left in Wayanad.
