Wayanad bypoll: Have more experience as people’s rep than Priyanka Gandhi , says BJP’s Navya Haridas

In the upcoming bypoll in Wayanad, BJP’s Navya Haridas, a software engineer with political experience, is challenging Congress’ Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Haridas emphasizes her two terms as a councillor in Kozhikode, contrasting it with Vadra’s lack of electoral experience. Haridas believes in PM Modi’s development agenda and hopes to gain support in Wayanad, despite BJP’s limited organizational presence. The bypoll was triggered by Rahul Gandhi vacating the seat for Rae Bareli. Haridas highlights issues like traffic problems, healthcare, and tribal welfare in her campaign. The constituency has seven Assembly segments, with Congress and CPI(M) holding some seats. The election is shaping up to be a three-way contest between BJP, Congress, and the ruling LDF.
