During the Onam season, when prices of vegetables and clothing are rising, the Central Prison in Thiruvananthapuram is offering relief to the public by selling over a hundred high-quality products at affordable prices during the fair, Pooradachantha. Inmates have cultivated vegetables like tomatoes, chillies, and more, as well as created items through skill training programs. Visitors can also purchase furniture, handicrafts, toys, and garments made by the inmates. The event, which was reduced to one day this year due to the Wayanad landslide, is expected to draw a large crowd, just like last year.
