Victoria College physics alumni hold AI seminar



The Government Victoria College Physics Alumni Association and Palghat Development Centre for Science, Technology and Management (PDCSTM) held a seminar on ‘Artificial intelligence and its opportunities and challenges’. Calicut University Computer Sciences head V.L. Lajeesh talked about the potential of AI and stressed on socially responsible applications. PDCSTM director Parakkal Ramachandra Menon emphasized on introducing AI technology to Palakkad and encouraging AI-based start-ups in the Smart City project. An AI Community Club was formed post-seminar to spread awareness about AI in Palakkad. Aswini Kumar Menon, Physics Alumni Association secretary, highlighted the importance and possibilities of AI in the region.
