Union Minister of State for Fisheries and Dairying, George Kurian, recently inaugurated a 2-MW project of Milma, a cooperative, in Thripunithura. The project is fully solar-powered, thanks to the efforts of the Ernakulam regional society. State Minister J. Chinchurani also laid the foundation for a project on Milma’s dairy products upgrade during the event. The solar power plant in Thripunithura is seen as a positive example of utilizing renewable energy in a way that benefits the environment. The Central Quality Control Lab was also highlighted as a key element in ensuring high-quality milk products at the event.
