Hundreds of students from Lakshadweep islands are stuck in Kochi due to uncertainty in getting tickets to travel home for the Onam vacation. The hostels are closed, leaving students in a state of uncertainty. However, the administration has taken steps to address the situation by operating extra schedules to the islands and issuing tickets for the sail. While there may have been some initial uncertainty, it seems to have been resolved. The students, many of whom do not have relatives in Kochi, are facing financial difficulties due to the unexpected delay. The situation is being closely monitored, and additional ships are expected to be available soon to facilitate the students’ return home.
