P.K. Kunhalikutty, the national general secretary of the Indian Union of Muslim League, expressed concern over the serious allegations raised by MLA P.V. Anvar, prompting the UDF Opposition in Kerala to discuss the matter. He criticized the ruling LDF government for misrule and highlighted ongoing issues such as murder cases and gold smuggling. Kunhalikutty emphasized that during the UDF’s tenure, there were no controversies surrounding cultural and religious events. He stated that the UDF will make a strong comeback in the next Assembly elections, as reflected in the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Kunhalikutty also noted the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the previous election cycle but expressed confidence that the people of Kerala now recognize the failings of the current government.
