The Crime Branch has arrested two more individuals who were board members of the Angamaly Urban Cooperative Society in connection with a ₹96-crore fraud case. The arrested individuals, T.P. George and Sebastian Madan, were disqualified by the Joint Registrar of the District Cooperative Society due to long-pending loan dues. The police are still searching for other board members who are allegedly absconding. The Crime Branch has already made two arrests earlier in the case. More arrests are expected to follow soon. A new ad-hoc committee has been appointed to oversee the society following the dismissal of the previous governing committee.
