Two held for swindling Rs 2.5cr from elderly man in Thrissur

Thrissur Town West Police arrested a man and a woman for defrauding an elderly man of Rs 2.5 crores through a honey trap scheme. The suspects, Sojan and Shemi, from Kollam, were arrested based on a complaint filed by the victim. The woman deceived the man by pretending to be young and unmarried, taking money from him and threatening him when he hesitated. The police seized gold jewellery, luxury cars, and other items bought with the stolen money. The suspects were arrested, brought to the police station, and are being investigated for similar fraudulent activities.
