The Kerala Chief Minister announced free health insurance coverage for Sabarimala devotees, providing up to Rs 5 lakh for the kin of pilgrims who pass away during the pilgrimage. The state government is preparing for a huge rush by deploying police officials and volunteers, increasing parking facilities, and displaying restaurant rates in multiple languages. Health facilities will be available at various locations, and arrangements will be made to ensure all pilgrims get darshan. The temple will open on November 16 for Mandala Pooja and will close briefly before reopening in January.
