The Kochi Corporation’s Animal Birth Control (ABC) Centre at Brahmapuram is facing disruptions in its functioning due to the vehicle used for catching dogs being taken off the road for fitness tests. The Opposition claims that the civic body is not serious about the stray dog issue, with the centre allegedly being dysfunctional for the past three months. However, the Corporation refutes these claims, stating that surgeries are still being performed and efforts are being made to recruit more vets and improve facilities at the centre. The Corporation is working on improving the situation and addressing the stray dog menace in the city.
