State pitches for third and fourth line, Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram



Kerala is pushing for higher speed trains and additional rail lines in the state, meeting with Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. They are seeking a third and fourth line between Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru, as well as support for the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail project. Kerala also wants to upgrade Vande Bharat trains and restore a special service between Ernakulam and Bengaluru. They are advocating for various rail projects in the state and have received assurance from the Union Minister to continue discussions on rail development in Kerala.
