Southern Railway General Manager R.N. Singh carries out safety inspection in Thiruvananthapuram division

Southern Railway General Manager R.N. Singh conducted a safety inspection of the Thiruvananthapuram division, focusing on the Kanyakumari-Alappuzha section. He reviewed track maintenance, bridge renovations, and station redevelopment projects at key locations. Singh interacted with officials, architects, contractors, and stakeholders, suggesting improvements to enhance passenger amenities and urging teams to speed up work. Progress was noted at Nagercoil Junction, Nemom, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kollam Junction, and Alappuzha. Projects include a new foot overbridge at Nagercoil Junction, improvements at Nemom station, and a multi-level car parking facility at Kollam Junction. Discussions were held with the District Collector in Alappuzha regarding the track-doubling project. Safety inspections will continue, with Singh being accompanied by senior officers from the Thiruvananthapuram Division.
