Shukkoor murder case: chargesheet read out to accused

At the CBI court in Ernakulam, Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader P. Jayarajan and former MLA T.V. Rajesh were among 31 accused who had the chargesheet read out to them in the Abdul Shukkoor murder case. The court had rejected their discharge petition last month, leading to the reading of the charges. Despite denying the charges, the trial is set to begin on November 20, after the deceased’s mother requested a prompt start to the proceedings due to the 12-year delay since the murder.
