Security staff to be appointed at Nadapuram hospital

The Nadapuram Taluk Hospital’s management committee has decided to appoint four security staff from a recently conducted interview rank list. The appointment process had faced controversy due to alleged interference from the block panchayat authorities. The authorities insisted on appointing a former security staff who was not an ex-serviceman, contrary to government orders. This led to protests by doctors and staff, with threats reportedly being made. The Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association warned of service disruptions from November 10. However, the HMC decided to appoint four security staff in phases during a meeting on November 2, with efforts to accommodate ex-security staff in other temporary positions.
