The power supply at SAT Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram was restored by 7.30am on Monday after a three-hour outage. The blame game for the outage has started, with KSEB denying responsibility and pointing to generator failure and old electrical equipment at the hospital. KSEB had informed the hospital about maintenance works causing a two-hour outage on Sunday evening. The director of medical education is investigating the incident on the health minister’s directive. The hospital superintendent stated that the generator panel board needs a switch replacement, which will be done after Monday’s activities. The health minister has promised strict action to prevent future disruptions.
