Renovated Kaloor market to be opened on October 18

The Kaloor market, renovated by the Greater Cochin Development Authority with the support of Cochin Smart Mission Limited, will be opened on October 18. Spread over 40,000 sq ft near Manappattyparambu in Kaloor, the market features separate sections for meat, fruits and vegetables, and groceries. The two-floor building has 18 shop rooms and open stall areas in each section, along with a supermarket and open restaurant. Parking for 60 cars is available, with more to come. The market is accessible from Banerji Road, metro station, Kaloor, and Sastha Temple Road, with additional facilities for rainwater harvesting, fire safety, and waste treatment. Old traders will be accommodated in the new facility.
