Heavy rainfall is expected to continue in parts of southern and central Kerala until Sunday, according to the IMD. Several districts are on yellow alert for isolated heavy rainfall on Saturday and Sunday. The Thiruvananthapuram district administration has banned mining and quarrying and issued advisories for travel to hilly regions, river banks, and the coast. The shutters of dams have been raised, and officials are taking measures to address the impact of the heavy rainfall. Fishers are advised against going out to sea due to squally weather.
