Public hearing for women plantation workers in Thrissur on October 19

The Kerala Women’s Commission will be holding a public hearing for women workers in the plantation sector of the State in Puthukkad, Thrissur. The event will be led by KWC chairperson P. Satheedevi and discussions will be chaired by KWC member Indira Ravindran. The focus will be on addressing the issues faced by women workers in the plantation sector, with a report to be submitted to the government based on the discussions. The public hearing is scheduled for October 19, 2024, at 10.30 a.m. with V.S. Prince, president of the Thrissur district panchayat, as the chief guest.
