P&T Apartments residents seek demolition and reconstruction of building

Residents of an apartment complex at Mundamveli are demanding the demolition and reconstruction of the building due to poor construction quality. The 96 families who were relocated from P&T Colony six months ago are facing serious issues like leaks, cracks, slanted building, overflowing septic tanks, and damaged electric fittings. The residents are concerned about the health and hygiene problems caused by dirty water dripping into their kitchens. They have asked the Greater Cochin Development Authority officials to hold the construction accountable and fix the issues. The GCDA has promised to carry out rectification works soon and will discuss a timeline with residents on September 20.
