A private bus rear-ended an ambulance and then hit a container lorry, injuring a woman in the ambulance and 16 passengers on the bus in Kochi. The accident caused a traffic jam for almost three hours, but the vehicles were eventually moved to the side using a crane. The woman in the ambulance had to be rescued with the help of fire and rescue services and was taken back to the hospital for complications. The bus driver suffered a fractured leg and passengers in the front rows had minor injuries. The bus driver was booked for rash and negligent driving.
