The presence of microplastics in the human brain and heart is a serious threat, according to a prominent U.S. researcher. Baoshan Xing of the University of Massachusetts Amherst warned that these microplastics, which come from overuse of plastics and are ingested through the food chain, pose a greater danger than those found in soil, water, and air. Even children’s products like feeding bottles and water bottles contain these harmful particles. Research has shown that there are more microplastics in the human brain than in other organs, increasing the risk of health issues like heart attacks. This alarming information was shared at an international conference on phytotechnology, emphasizing the urgent need to address this growing problem.
