The Kerala High Court Division Bench closed a public interest litigation about the bad condition of the Kundannoor-Thevara bridge after the contractor and PWD filled potholes and promised main work after Onam holidays. The petitioner, Boban Nedumparambil, can seek court intervention again if repairs are not satisfactory. The bridge, part of NH 966 B and built 25 years ago, had tarred portions with cracks, substandard repairs, and poor footpaths. The court emphasized the importance of quality repairs and maintenance for the safety of the public.
