Potholed and trenched roads in Kochi a cause for alarm, say stakeholders

The Kochi Corporation-owned Chittoor Road, along with other important stretches, is still in bad shape due to pipeline laying works by the Kerala Water Authority. The delay in restoring these roads has caused concerns among residents and authorities. The Confederation of Residents’ Welfare Associations has demanded urgent action to fix the potholes and trenches, as they pose a threat to road safety. Steps are being taken to repair and resurface the roads before the Sabarimala season. The issue was also discussed at a recent District Development Committee meeting where officials expressed concerns over the condition of various roads in Kochi. The Kochi Corporation and KWA officials have assured that the damaged roads will be restored soon.
